Main Street Ventures Mission Statement

Main Street Ventures is a not-for-profit Technology Development Facilitator whose goal is to accelerate technology development efforts in 3 areas:

New Economy Companies: We help existing companies and entrepreneurs to develop New Economy Companies by:

1. Providing a Forum to Network, both to test out their ideas among peers and also to more easily find development and support resources (e.g., web developers, hardware/software providers, hosting, legal, accounting, consulting, marketing, capital, etc.) to help bring their ideas to fruition.

2. Providing Educational Opportunities through events that help to navigate the challenging waters of new business creation and transition in Technology.

3. Providing Space in a Highly Supportive Community for the most promising start-up technology companies to launch from the Digital Rhine area of downtown Cincinnati.

4. Celebrating the New Economy Company Successes to ensure that the country and the world understand the wealth of New Economy resources and capabilities contained in the Tri-State community.

Tri-State Community: We help to develop the Tri-State regional community by:

1. Creating a Focal Point for the Tri-State area to actively develop technology - a specific place where business, government, existing businesses and entrepreneurs can focus on development of technology initiatives.

2. Creating a Geographic Center in the Digital Rhine, thereby identifying a specific physical region where it becomes cost effective to focus technology development resources for entrepreneurs, existing businesses and service providers.

3. Re-energizing Over the Rhine through creation of the Digital Rhine to bring high tech jobs and active, daily commerce to an area that has only recently begun to emerge from years of physical and economic decline.

Business Development: We help technology-related support businesses by:

1. Fostering an Open Marketplace where: a) technology-related service providers can network, identify potential customers, and establish a position of expertise in their areas of competency; and b) technology start-ups and spin-offs can easily identify potential service providers that can meet their business requirements.

2. Creating An Environment for Attracting Investment Capital to help start-ups and spin-offs more easily obtain and fund the created demand for services.

3. Promoting An Environment that Attracts The World's Best People, which is at the heart of any revolution, leveraging the region's high quality of life and business resources.
