A Modest Request
For the Future of Over-the-Rhine
by iRhine.com
Dear Friends of iRhine:
We need your participation in the continued success of our image and marketing campaign to educate the public about our wonderful neighborhood of Over-the-Rhine including our community based online magazine. We are starting a fund raising program and ask you to make a financial contribution to our efforts.
If you can make an initial gift of even $10 it will do three things for us:
1. Your gift will go toward the cash match required for our grant from the City of Cincinnati.
2. Your gift will count toward the proof of readership that is required by the city and the public and private foundations to which we will continue to apply so we can sustain this magazine.
3. Provide us with additional operational funds for our continued image and marketing campaign and to make iRhine.com updates and enhancements that benefit the Over-the-Rhine community and Cincinnati's downtown.
We understand that $10 is a lot for some, although not much for many others. If you can make a larger gift we will be very grateful. We must conclude this fund raising effort by August 31, 2004.
You should know that iRhine.com is largely a volunteer operation. Publication of the magazine draws heavily upon the resources of volunteers. Funds from the city grant of $4950 are allocated to contributors who write the stories and to technical personnel who compose the Web site. Neither the Publisher nor the Editor receive any payments for their services. iRhine is a non-profit organization with a board of directors and participation in the board is encouraged.
It is easy to donate to iRhine.com. We have installed the PayPal program and the amount can be charged to your credit card. You may also mail a check to the address below.
If you cannot make a contribution at this time please let us know if you can in the future. Gathering an estimation of the number of future donations is necessary to our fund raising efforts and this gift of your time will be valuable too.
To help you remember why you have enjoyed our magazine we have selected some past issues that were popular with our readers. Maybe you missed them and would like to review how iRhine has tried to fulfill its mission?
-Studio Vertu and the Creative Class by Ruth K. Meyer, Artwhirled
-Somewhere Better Than This Place

-Where Worlds Collide: OTR Winter 2003 by Katie Laur, Artwhirled
-Pat Renick - International Sculpture Center

With sincere thanks and appreciation for your readership,
